Cool. It seems to be working...
I figured I'd introduce myself through my work area, so you all can see what I work with and a bit of what I'm about. I grew up in the late 60's early 70's, so Hot Wheels and Aurora models are what my nostalgia revolves around.
After being heavily into models for almost 10 years, I decided to learn a bit about diecast customizing. Not for profit, but purely for the enjoyment of having a few special cars that nobody else does.
Here's some more links to some closer, more detailed shots of where I relax:

Hope to have some stuff to show once I get this ball rolling.
Thanks for looking!

Thanks HR. The pics were taken last week. The neatness comes from hating to look for little missing parts and bits. I found it takes way less time to keep it organized than it takes to chase all over for stuff you need all the time. I don't work with my eyes shut, but I also don't have to look when grabbing for things, either.
Thanks for looking!

When posting a pic, type [ img ] [ /img ] and add your pic address url in the middle between the center brackets. There should be no spaces at all, I had to add the spaces so it shows with my reply.

Thanks for the tip, CS.
I had a friend in Italy who was an expert caster. He did a part for part reproduction of the Aurora 1:32 Batmobile in white metal. I think it qualifies as "diecast custom", even though it was actually high temperature mold cast.
I did the assembly and paintwork. This photo is about 7 years old.

Here's my current project. Same casting process using a Johnny Lightning Lincoln Futura converted to the Batmobile using two-part metal. The base is the original JL. The wheels are from a higher-end HW red Ford. Cyclone, maybe? They are rubber tires. This body need mucho work to be ready for paint. This photo is from today.
