CultTVMan's Hobby shop now has the NSEA Protector and the Communicator and Nebulizer pistol kits from Galaxy Quest up for Pre-Order! I've reserved two of each!

and, for those of you who, like me, have been salivating over the Monarch Sinbad kit, it's available for Pre-Order, too!!! (I reserved one!)

Hi LG, I am not really interested in the Galaxy Quest stuff, but I will get at least one Sinbad, eventually. The Sinbad boxart looks Auroraesque,so that's cool. I hope Monarch is still gonna do the 1962 Moon Suit kit, love that thing. Incidentally,I recently got one of Pegasus' 1/48 scale V2 rocket kits, and it is REALLY NICE.

Roy,

The Protector is actually 1/1400.
Same scale as a lot of the AMT/Ertl era Trek kits.

Oh, and the top comes off as in the film, and there is detail in both exposed surfaces.

Can't wait to see what people do with this kit.

Also don't forget......

New WOTW,
1/144 War Machine Tripod.
1/350 War Machine Dio.

2001 inspired Pod. Awesome piece mastered by Randy Cooper.
Cute little flying saucers with even cuter martians in them.
Mercury 9 Rocket (looks REALLY cool) includes mission control buildings.

I talked to Scott at length on Thurs at iHobby and they are really on the ball over there.
Everything in the common scales.
Cool nostalgia subjects.
Cool 'inspired by' subjects.
Cool original subjects.
Good price ranges.

I think these guys will become big players in the sci-fi model market.

And BTW, JohnP. If you haven't already heard from Scott at Pegasus, he LOVED what you did with his rocket and saucer.

any idea if they're molded out of ABS or styrene?

Probably ABS, given their other kits. ABS=Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene. So it's form of styrene...

Just use Tenax, or Ambroid, or Plastruct cement, as John P. would say.

More on those glues here:

Just use a bit of common sense and have a bit of ventilation in the room... but I'm sure already knew that:thumbsup:

That Martian is really a welcomed addition to the figure kits. Something a bit different. Thanks for posting, its the first time I have seen the actual figure.
