Even though I am primarily committed to 1/32 slot cars I was curious about Kyosho's new Dslot 1/43 line of cars. I heard there was a problem with the initial release Porsches so I waited and got one of the Mazda 787b's. What I got was nothing like any other 1/43 slot car I have seen. Looking at a photograph you would almost swear it is 1/32. It is very well constructed and even has an adjustable magnet mounted to the motor pod. It ran around my 1/32 scaley sport track at 13v. at a good pace and even though the magnet is there it doesn't feel glued to the rails. Here it is.

Looking Up.

Promising news to see a 1/43rd car like this Bob. If they keep putting out this level of cars I think their line will be a huge draw to the scale. Seems like in the larger scale 1/32nd brands the mfg's try to keep pace with eachother. We might see the other makers follow suit with better out-of-the-box stuff now too. Niiice
