NEW carpet oval racing Watertown CT

Pin Shop Hobbies has opened our new carpet oval in Oakville (Watertown) CT we run Sundays during outdoor season and Saturday nights in the off season

Classes:

1/10 pan- 17.5 2s blinky/no timing
1/12 pan nastruck- 17.5 1s open
spec legends
rally


we are hopeing to start runing SK soon and we will run any class as long as there are enough cars

Had a great time! Sure wish my speedo didn't commit suicide after Round 2. I will try to get there again Saturday. I dug up an old pan car to run...

WOW!! one of the closest nights of racing ever.

3 pan cars within a lap of each other after 140 laps!
Congrats to Bill on his first A-main win. The guy can drive & paint!!!!

SK B main with first & second on the same lap after 127 laps!!
Thanks to Pat for letting me & Ducky battle it out to the very end.

SK A main taken down by the B-main bump-up!
everyone in SK stepped up their game when we saw Dale's times in practice!

Nastruck A main battle lasting 132 laps with a margin of victory of 0.3 seconds!
Congrats to Pat on his first A-main nastruck win -it was well deserved!!

Can't wait until next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you to everyone who came out last night it was one of the best nights of reacing to date!!!!! some new winners and some new faces what more can you ask for, thank you to ED for helping with the announcing so i could race....well if you call what i did last night racing lmao. and thank you to the new faces last night Novak,ED,and Dale and anyone im forgetting great to have you! and mostly a big congrats go out to Bill on the hill for TQ,win and track record nice job!!! and to Big Pat with his first win in 1/12 nas-truck!!!
hope to see everyone next week for some more fast action at the Pin Shop Hobbies "BULL RING"!!!!!!

Don't change the layout. I would clean the ice during the night. After a couple rounds, the ice got enough rubber on it had as much traction as the carpet.

thanks what have you found to be the best way to clean the ice???
Not sure. I know motor spray or brake cleaner would do it. Not sure if it would damage the ice material... Not sure what Madness uses..

Im not sure what you would use to clean it real good with,but Lemon Pledge furniture polish will make it good and slick after you get it clean.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Whatever you use to clean the ice, make sure you don't clean the ice while it's on the track surface. The cleaners will screw up the carpet. Just about any Plastic safe cleaner works, pledge, windex, rubbing alchol, etc.

its thursday race day is almost here whos racing what this saturday night at the "bull ring"!!!!!!!
Madness isnt racing and everyone else is going to the crc race, so it looks like Im going to be racing my SK at Pin Shop. I hope to have a great time there as I almost always do at any track.
I'm old and slow so fun is first and racing 2nd. I belive you'll be getting another SK driver from madness as well. see you sat.
