I remember one of those being on an episode of Pawn Stars where a guy pawned his Lesney collection.
Same here. That was the first time I heard about this piece. The guy got a 20K loan even after Corey strongly advised him not to take it. I wonder if he returned for his MB collection...

Yup, these have allways been worth quite a bit.
I read about these in the '60s in my big brothers MB Collectors Club Newsletter.
These were made for the Queen's Coronation in 1953.

I have known about the Coronation Coach since I was growing up in the early 1970s. The Matchbox Collector's Club of Wood Ridge, NJ published a pamphlet and quarterly newsletter that described the Coronation Coach and its history. I have one of the small silver-colored coaches that I bought in the 80s. There are some who collect the variants of the Coach. These people have been active for a long time.
