Hello, i have a toro model 26622 lawn mower, serial number 0018008. It starts right up then shuts right off. After letting warm up on choke for a minute, i take the choke off and it surges. after reading past threads on this very same problem i tried everything except the governor adjustment. if anyone has any other suggestions or how to explain the governor adjustment that would be greatly appreciated...

I don't think you need to make any governor adjustments, the carb is dirty, remove the carb and give it a good cleaning and you will solve your problem, just be careful because parts may not be available for that engine. Have a good one. Geo
