N2Deep Raceways Web site

N2Deep Raceways is presenting the 2012 Firecracker Classic! Oval racing returns to the northeast Ohio facility on July 7, 2012, with open practice Friday night, July 6 from 7:00pm until ?. Plenty of hotel options in the vicinity (less than 10 minutes; see Web site for locations/addresses).

Track size is approximately 90'x30'; track surface is closed-loop carpet. We're trying to decide on what use for the "ice" and how big (wide) it should be.

Amenities include: pit tables with electric; on-site hobby shop presented by Austintown Hobbies; AMB lap scoring (AlyCat) (house transponders available).

Nine classes of short track racing action: Rookies (Novice), All-American Stock Cars (VTA on the oval), Limited Late Models (TOUR 17.5 Open Stock Car), Sportsman Trucks (TOUR 17.5), Super Late Models (TOUR 13.5 Open), Dirt Modifieds (Hooter's Tour 17.5 rules), Mini Sprints (Losi Sliders), Wingless Sprints, and Dirt Late Models (Short-Course Late Models)! Doors will open at 2:00pm on Saturday, with racing starting at approximately 4:00pm. See the Web site for rules details.

Event sponsors are currently being worked on.

Entry fee<s>: $15.00 first class; $8.00 additional class<es>. *NOTE*: This price is for special event<s>. Regular weekly race entry fee is $12.00, $8.00, and $5.00 additional (3 or more) classes.

We're also working on getting the hobby shop stocked up for this event and all future events. If you need something at the shop, let us know on the Message Boards at the Web site :) There's a forum specifically FOR off-road and oval hobby shop requests. Austintown Hobbies (330-793-9233) will be presenting the on-site hobby shop.

For the TOUR Limited Late Models (17.5 Open) and Super Late Models (13.5 Open): We're going to allow the McAllister ASA Camaro (p/n #273) or Mustang (p/n #272), or Milwaukee Late Model (p/n #228). We're trying to decide on an incentive for running these bodies (weight break? Or...?).

The All-American Stock Cars will debut at this event as well. This is basically a "Vintage Trans-Am on Oval" class. However, we're allowing a few more tire, wheel, and body choices (see Web site for more details).

Our drivers' stand is wheelchair-accessible, and we use an AMB scoring system. There are house transponders available.

After this event, the plan is to run oval racing every other Saturday.

Just thought I'd post here for our "regular" shows:

The All-American Stock Car division rules have been updated. After some consideration, we've decided to go with the ROAR Sportsman ESC list:

http://www.roarracing.com/?page_id=737

Hopefully, this change will attract more area racers that run elsewhere with these rules.
OK, racers...looks like our "regular" race schedule is going to be a "TBD" until after the Firecracker this week. The track owner wants to see how this weekend goes, then we'll go from there ;-)
Alright, NE Ohio oval racers:

Sunday, August 12, 2012
Doors open at 10:00am, racing at 1:00pm

$12.00 Entry fee (for first class); $8.00 second class; $5.00 three or more classes.

Nine classes of short track racing action: Rookies (Novice), All-American Stock Cars (VTA on the oval), Limited Late Models (TOUR 17.5 Open Stock Car), Sportsman Trucks (TOUR 17.5), Super Late Models (TOUR 13.5 Open), Dirt Modifieds (Hooter's Tour 17.5 rules), Mini Sprints (Losi Sliders), Wingless Sprints, and Dirt Late Models (Short-Course Late Models)!

We're also looking at running some 1/18th scale: BRP, Mini Late Models, Mini Sliders...three of anything will make a class.

However, we're allowing a few more ESC, tire, wheel, and body choices (see Web site for more details).

Just about two more weeks to kick off "regular" oval racing at N2Deep Raceways!

Don't forget - this next event is a *Sunday* show; doors open at 10:00am, racing at 1:00pm.

Who's makin' the trip to Newton Falls....?
Are you doing any road course races or just oval races these days?
Are you doing any road course races or just oval races these days?
Just oval.

What kind of race car do you have?
None yet, I currently have a 4x4 CORR and 1/8 buggy. I am looking into getting a Hot Boddies TCX and racing carpet/road. I don't have any interest in oval.

I think N2deep as potential though.
We're basically fairly new; so we're still trying to get established there.

We *do* offer a Touring-car oval class called "All-American Stock Cars". Basically a Touring car with a vintage stock-car type body.

If you're looking to go road racing, over at the Gate in Brunswick is about the closest place for you, coming from Cuyahoga Falls.
The gate in on my list of places to check out.

Thanks
For those of you planning on attending Sunday...we're setting up the "big" oval tonight :)

The off-road jumps that were along the back wall are being removed, so the corners will be more "sweeping".

Hope y'all will like the new layout!
Got the new trioval set up last night...lookin' forward to seein' y'all there Sunday morning!

Bring whatcha got...three of anything'll make a class.

Don't forget - we also have rent-a-racers for VTA-type cars, so if ya got a coupla buddies that wanna race, bring 'em (your buddies, that is), and we'll race 'em! ;)
Alrighty, kids....break out those carpet cars...

Let's go rrrrrrrrrrrrrracin'!!
Wow.

Absolutely *no one* showed up today.

Give me some input here, guys. What would it take to get you to come out N2Deep Raceways?
What would you guys think about going to Hooter's Tour classes as our "regular" classes, along with a couple of "gearbox" classes?

Gimme some input here, fellas... :)
