I put this together for a contest on another site. It's called the Shifted Kicker. Dont know the results yet, but hopefully I'm not last, LOL.

I'll try getting a pic of the flip once we have some sun again.

You've got a lot of nice detail, the engine looks great, wheels and big slicks that look good and still fit under the car. I'd say you've got a good chance of winning.

... looks better with each new viewing ...

Hey Jason,
Each time I see pics of this sweet ride,
the better it looks (even though it's still a WIP).

As I said in the other site, you sure made a lot of way cool
revisions ... some are very subtle, but they too add pizzazz.
 ;)

The fellas (in their replies above) make a good suggestion ... a
new shifter. This car has always invoked the notion of one of
Big Daddy's Rat-Fink Rods. What about the shift lever, and
perhaps a big hand reaching for it through the roof. Or perhaps
a pair of bubble-bead eyes. Those eyes (for puppets or stuffed
animals) can be acquired even in tiny sizes. I've seen them at a
few craft/hobby stores. Also seen them on some greeting cards.
They could be seen, positioned to be looking out the side window.
(I now have a pair of those eyes ... perfect for 1:64 ... and I now
also have the perfect casting for a Rat-Fink. Calling it FINK-BOMB.)
:freak: :D

Whatever you choose as the car's finishing touches will be great.
You have a keen eye, and the talent to turn this into a trophy-winner.
 :woohoo:

I now have a shifter in the making.... lol

I was originally going to use a motor with side exhaust, but I changed my mind last minute and since the body was already painted and I basically had no time left, I chose to just leave the cutouts as they were. Totally a shortcoming on that one and I'll probably lose some points on it, but hey **it happens...lol

Thanks for the comments guys! I should know something soon.... I hope, lol

The motor is from the Micro Machines Nitro Coupe series. It's a five piece assembly and is VERY highly detailed.
