So I saw this toy lot on eBay and thought I'd go for it. Some of these will stay with me and some will go up for sale on TTP. So this is what $65 bought me.

Quite the haul, alright. I have a ship very very similar to one of the ones you have. The gray one with the 'tan' deck and white infrastructure. A few differences, but very slight ones.

Thanks all. I think I'm hooked on buying collections and lots. Not only is it fun and interesting, as 54 pointed out you get to see a cross-section of someones childhood or collecting interests, but it's also allowing me to add to my own collection and I'm learning more. I'll keep a few and sell the rest and buy some more.

Thanks for the info on the medal. I found it very interesting!

I'd say ya got a great deal... I can see atleast 300 bucks worth at a quick glance, on ebay or TTP... That's what I just did buying that tote full of diecast that I paid 35 bucks for... I have sold almost all that was in it and added some cool ones to my collection... I have sold over 370.00 worth so far on ebay and still have several to go...
You made a smart buy there, congratulations and I hope ya do extremely well with them...
I would like to have that Western Auto trailer, and the red truck with the flatbed if ya wanna get rid of those... PM me !!!
Dang nice score !!!

I like the water rocket. I went through 3 of those as a kid.
Yeah, me too! I just wish it came with the pump. I'd be playing with it right now!
I forgot to mention the water rocket. That was one of my summer favorites as a kid - I haven't even thought of water rockets for about 15 or 20 years. I brought my sets out from the attic for my boys to try and they really didn't seem too keen on them although they did get into model rocketry the following summer - and they impressed me with those: noisier, smokier and then they'd parachute back down. I guess things do change as we get older, but I still remember that refreshing burst of water that'd spray my face when I pulled back on the latch to release the pressurized rocket and the hissing noise as it took off for the sky.

Steve, I'm glad you enjoyed the info on the medal...
