i got this recently from a trade with a member from another forum..

does anyone know how many other variants are out there?

Very nice, I believe the original redline version was available in several colors. I'm by no means an expert on the vintage era cars but it is a highly coveted casting that can fetch serious money in original condition and/or in the package.

It was re-cast and released in the Hot Wheels Red Line Club I believe at least twice, once in the Neo Classics line (red line replica) and once in the Real Riders line. Those would be your best shot at getting mint examples of this car for a decent price.

there was a red one also for the rlc and the original redlines had many colors purple being worth close to 1000$ i saw a old beat up chipped crapy purple one on ebay sell for 750$ about 2-3 years ago

I sold a blue one a couple years back, in a little bit better condition than yours, but still considered by many to be a 'beater' for $55.
