I found this mustang in my uncles cabinet and he said I could have it. Its white with blue racing stripes and it came in a plastic box with hotwheels on top. The bottom of the car says Mattel Inc. 1968. I'm not sure if thats when the car was made or not. Does anybody know anything about these cars?

That is not the year the car was made. It is probably from the late 90's or so. I can't remember what they are called. But the license plate on top was from type of series. I know that isn't as accurate as you would like, but it will give you some idea. I am sure someone will chime in with the correct info. Good find....

The original License Plate cars had a '65 convertible Mustang. I think the Shelby-looking Custom Mustang was released as an AVON car around 1996 or so.

I look through more boxes and found a Firebird and Cuda convertable too, so I think they must have made a set of them.
