Hard to say what possibly is going one without know which particular casting it was and if others are available on the 2ndary market or shown by other collectors.
I do know that on eBay sellers will list items for sale but not yet have them in hand. They are allowed to then cancel the sale listing if they dont manage to acquire the item from the available source.
Production is also not fully recovered around the World and distribution is still behind. So the actual production may be delayed. Or cancelled.
