Now all I gotta do is add 12more lights and install the thing...

I think we might be!
But your lights will be entirely done with your skill & hard work, whereas, mine were done for me ...and I'm still daunted by this project!
I'm not going to do a build post here. I have a dedicated file at the bucket for it, but that's all
I'm going to need to be on my game.

If I have time I'll post pics as I go, but not 3 times a day like I usually do, and I'll give you the link to the bucket pics.
Do you have one of these ODG Studios bases?

It might be the nicest resin casting I've ever worked with.
Beautiful sculpt, and very cool Idea.

Thanks for the link, I was going to ask for it. I have seen the base and love it. Mine will be on a "diorama" base, just have decided what yet. Are the plumes solid white resin or transparent? I know in the film the plumes were not "illuminated" but I would like to do something like that with mine.

I contacted Dan at ODG and he sent me translucent ones.
For some reason the seller asked them not to ship the base with hollow plumes. Fragility perhaps?
So the base comes with solid ones.
I think they are lovely..and will look great as you said, with some lighting inside.
I'll PM you with link to bucket.

I think lighting them up, just slightly, from underneath the chassis would look awesome. So he can do translucent as well or was that just for you? No big deal on them not being hollow, we can drill!

You'd need to ask him, His vision was to cast them hollow.
But the vendor requested solid.
I'll take pics in a bit of the lighted primed plumes..they look very cool!

Now understand I'm putting a lot of lumens in the plume in these pics.
You'd need to test leds to get the desired effect..
This will give an Idea of the possabilities.

Very cool looking! I would however put an LED at the top pointing down into the plume. Still nice proof of concept, thanks for the pics!

I know the whole base should look soaking wet, but I really like the contrast beween water and pavement...

Here is a pic of the plume lighted from the top. I used a standard 3 mm bright white.
Drilling out the tops of the plumes took 6 drill bits and about 20 mins..you gotta work vewwy swowlly.
