Hi, one of my LED strip connectors wires broke from a lighting kit I got from Polar Lights for the StarTrek 1:350 scale TOS Enterprise. Does anyone know the kind of LED strip connector I should get for replacement? Is it a 8mm 2 pin LED strip connector I need?

I would put this question into the Sci-fi modelling forum since this is a model and a lot of people have opinions about it .

If it’s the LED strip connector you’re referring to, you’re better off cutting it off and soldering the wires directly to the LED tape.

Yah, The lighting kit is mess of good/bad. It looks great when done! But the connectors are a real weak point.

After MANY failures, and buying new light strips I ended up soldering everything together.

Much more work.

I believe Paragraphics sells solderless connectors, that said, I cut the ends off and soldered the wires direct when I did mine.
