could anyone who has been running well at freddies hook me up with a base setup for either the executioner or the lightning like springs , tires , wheelbase , centered or off set any info would be greatly appreciated will be running 13.5 and stock ! im planning on going just depends on my grandpa ( hes in the hospital and its not good) chad humble
Go back one page. The setup I ran for Seaford is posted there. This track is very like that track. Only change I may try is two purple tires. I will be at Freddies this coming weekend. If your there be sure to say hello. We will get your car dialed.

jamie i used that setup at hobbyworld in jacksonville fl last week worked real good ! are you running the car short or long wheelbase , and with or without rearstear ? thanks chad
I always run short. There has never been a time been a long wheelbase was needed. As far as the back end goes. I normally run a half degree. With this track being as large as it is, that may be something I take out.

People asked about my setup from Freddies outdoor Oval. It is the same setup I run indoors with the exception of tires and more ride heigth.

Lightning chassis with the old style rear top and bottom plates.
--RF: Red progressive spring/ 4 degrees castor / -1 degree camber / Purple
--LF: Red Std spring / 2 degrees castor / +1 camber / Magenta
--LR: Silver spring / 50 weight / Magenta
--RR silver spring / 50 weight / Magenta

Other notes: I ran the Windtunnel front end springs in this car. Center shock was an HPI with a #2 piston and 70 weight oil. I always run the ORC Super Soft T-bar. The car had stock front castor blocks. Just enough preload in the front so there is just a touch of sag in the left. The car ran a centered t-bar with the pod offset to the felt. Left rear wheel in as far as I could get it and the wide right side hub with no axle spacing. 1/2 degree rear steer. I this in 4300 brushless. The only difference for 13.5 was a double Purple RF tire.
T-HD body.

What are the different effects for running a the t-bar centered versus off-set?
The easy way to put it is more steering with the centered T-bar. The initial entering into the turn will be a little more snappy. Coming off the turn it will hold itself down to the bottom side of the track. However, in the middle of the turn the car may want to slow down a little because it is using the RF to turn.
Another easy way to put it is a centered t-bar will DRIVE the car through the turn. An offset T-bar will give the car more of a rotation feel to it.
There is less, left side static weight with an offset t-bar. Because of this, there will be less weight transfer to the right front mid turn. This is where the rotation feeling comes from. Normally the slower classes would want to use an offset t-bar. Stock, 17.5, maybe 13.5, but I can not say yet. It keeps the scrubbing on the RF tire down and keeps speed up through the turn.

Nice job Jamie! where did you find the cable mesh? who did your pit board?
I have a bunch I ordered a few years back. Most people use it for Computer wiring cleanup. I have some neon green coming. That should look wild. It is a little more flexible than the stuff that comes with the speedo. It just takes a few minutes to take off the plug at the end of the sensor wires so you can slide the mesh on.
