I don't collect many foreign cars but this one spoke to me from the first time I saw it. I passed it several times but today it finally jumped in the buggy. I guess it's the stealth look of it.
In the satin black it looks feal nice.
I have passed on this one as well just for the fact that there are so many different types of Lamborghini models Mattel makes and they all have similar looks, I forget which ones I've got. LOL
Orange Track Diecast just posted a feature on the LP700-4. This is one of the Lambo castings I collect and seeing the available castings reviewed was a nice read.
Like many of you, the majority of my casting collections don’t start with the #First Edition release. I mean, it’s not much of a collection to begin with unless multiple variants are re…
Fandom notes the Hot Wheels version was designed by Phil Riehlman for Mattel in 2011 with the first 2 castings released in 2012.
The real car was code named the LB834 the before it became known as Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4. It is a mid-engined sports car made by the Italian based manufacturer to replace the Murcielago. Unveiled in 2010, in Sant'Agata, Bolognese, Italy and introduced at the Geneva Motor Show on 28 February 2011.
The 2012 Hot Wheels card back notes the Aventador is named for a trophy-winning bull, as are all Lambos. The car uses an F1-style suspension on a lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque. "It's fast, rare, and screams luxury."
Here is the 2012 version in orange. The black wheels looks really good with the black interior and blacked out details. Small tampo details can be found on both sides and the nose emblem and head lights.
