Love it! But for me, I am always disappointed every time I open a thread titled R8.. being a race fan, I think I am going the see the original R8, the open top spyder prototype endurance racer! It takes me a moment to remember they reused the number for a road car!

Nome to my knowledge in real life, but I think it's a marketing tie in. The R8 is the most successful endurance racer so far in the century!

I think Audi themselves said the name was a tribute to the race car. Not so strange really. Look st all the mileage Ford has gotten with the "Cobra" name. I get confused sometimes when the Ferrari 512M is mentioned
