I bought the kit in the mid 1990’s and it was one of my first air brush attempts. When I built this ship, I noticed that there were many areas that had gaps. I used a lot of filler to correct this problem. I learned about sanding and painting techniques from my training in automotive collision repair. The result is a seamless starship.

Painting suggestions came from the instruction sheet included with the kit, the undersurfaces being painted with Testors Flat O.D. Green, the top surfaces are coloured with Testors Flat Grey, and the neck and under surfaces of the primary hull are painted with a custom mixed light grey, 75% Testors Flat Arctic White and 25% Testors Flat Grey. Chrome Bare Metal Foil was used on the shuttle bay doors as well as behind the grill on the top of the secondary hull (Impulse engine array).
