Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota JGI was known as a promotional marketing company and a manufacturer of (one confirmed) premium diecast cars.

In 1997, they issued a 1963 Ford Thunderbird designed to represent the 'Flubber' car from the movie of the same name. It was meant to be the first in a series of "Supermarket Stars" series, but is the only one known to have been issued.

A second reference is known for a Subway Sandwich Promotion of 1998. Here an unnamed model of what is believed to be a casting from the Tootietoy "Hardbody" Series was given away by Subway with JGI cast into the base.

A third possible reference is another Subway promotion where the base plate information is attributed to be JCI instead of JGI. Currently we are working to verify these references and no diecast association to a JCI company has been found so far to support the provided information.
