just one is all I need :
price

hi - what would be a good price for brand new one in mint shape ??
I couldn't find one when I wanted it, so I built my own out of an old cassette tape box and cut my own foam. It works for me- something to think about and a alternative. Those are nice carrying cases. $15 bucks ?
how many do you have? e-mail me with a price!
These cases are very nice for short term storage for transporting cars but you have to be careful about leaving cars in them for a long time. The foam is very firm and it WILL bend your axles (from pushing up on the wheels) if you leave cars in for any length of time. A much softer foam is needed.

Wow I've tried everything never thought of a cassette case Thanks !
I believe they were $10 when you could buy them new . Not sure , That was several years back ...
G
Also, there are 2 different sizes... they both hold 36 cars, but the original one was a little bigger than the one released later
I believe I payed 14.99 plus tax at TRU back in the mid 90s. I also purchased a case that holds the cars at this years fest. It's not made by JL ,I believe the person was selling the wild weekend cars at the fest as well as these cases. They hold 24 cars and there was 2 cars he was selling with the case for ( 40.00 or maybe 50.00 -not sure ) and one of the cars was a WL. Overall it's a decent case to go along with my JL case. Hope this helps . Chuck . :)
JL Case

hi my case says on the side of it johnny lightning - die -cast car replicas. i high lightem them in yellow paint ,and on the black its looks nice .inside it holds 18 cars per side .i guess total would be 36 cars. hope thats helps some.
RC2 if you are reading...(hint, hint)...

I never cared for these as they were too much case, not enough slots. Aside from the foam deteriorating as well, the cars themselves would often times fall out upon opening too.
A 48 cars (4x12 stacked) or a 72 car flat case much like the Hot Wheels cases of the early 70's style with adjustable slots would be a sure fire hit and a massive seller.
They wouldn't be able to keep these on the shelves!
Of the gripes and complaints I hear from diecast collectors all sharing that same opinion, I am shocked that RC/Johnny Ertl hasn't jumped on this yet.
Been brought up before but I'll state it again......I'd love to buy new repops of the JL Special case #1 and #2 or better yet, TD designed cars (Wacky Winners) or original Frightning Lightning cars that are made into a case.

Hubba hubba!
