I picked up all 5 that were hanging at meijers the other day. I always loved the tow trucks.

So I always thought JLPD was for "Johnny Lightning Police Department" But this release clearly has a Photo of a JLPD tow truck.

Is this the work of our infamous graphic artist at PM?

or

What does JLPD stand for?

"Johnny Lightning Police Department"

NY wants too much for theior licensing so Mike made an NYPD tow truck into a JLPD tow truck from a JK picture

I saw three of those a couple of days ago but I left them hanging because I only had enough cash for one car. I would have bougth one of the tow trucks, but when I saw that there was a Tenth Anniversary Gran Sport 'Vette hiding amongst the cards, I snagged it and left the store a happy Pollock. I figure I can get a couple of the wreckers later.

I felt lucky to find one at HL, Do they all have the real rubber & duals?

Also saw the Taxi, and the some of the rest..But passed them up for the flamed Nash behind it.

I took that shot on the streets of New York in Feb 2003. It was a quickie grab shot, about 10 minutes apart from the yellow Crown Vic taxi, shot a block away. (I had to wait a good long time to find an old-body-style Vickie ... they were mostly 98-up models, surprise surprise!) See the white Camry behind the tow truck? It's actually about to get towed!

Bravo to whoever did the photoshop job on the door, a masterful job!

My guess is JK was going across the street to that wholesale place.
When I was there, the store employees chase you down the street trying to sell you a Wide angle lens for your camara... ;)
