Is there someone here at HT who's an expert??? Maybe ZeeZee?
I have a GREEN '68 Bonneville, non-"spectra flame" solid medium green.

I've seen pix of a "Spectra flame" green one of a similar hue of green.

In Jeff Kock's Hemmings article he says the jade green one is ultra rare.
Which green one is the rarer???

He forgot to mention a 3rd tone the Pontiac was painted.

Here's a link to Jeff Koch article (2007) on the AMT Pups (and associated diecast)-

http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2007/04/05/the-strange-saga-of-amt-s-pups/

He calls it a Pontiac Catalina and mentions Purple and rare Jade Green colors.

Sorry I can't add anything on their colors either.

But according to those Tales of Toy Cars stories, I'd have to say almost any of these diecast Pontiac convertibles are Very RARE.

May or May Not be as pricey as the Corvairs in these diecast lines BUT Corvairs probably have more of a cult following.
(Yes I like Corvairs - my Uncle use to paint them in Oshawa GM ).

NUMBER ONE REASON TO COLLECT DIECAST : ENJOYMENT !!!
SO KEEP ON ENJOYING,

Yep, that's the article I was refering to.
Chrome-purple and the green are in the same sentence, so maybe the chrome-green is more rarerer. (?)

Thanks a lot for your Top input ZZ!

I have a Purple one (Very Similar in color to the Hot Wheels Spectra Flame Purple) The Green color version is Harder to find IMO & are a similar color, the ones that I have seen that is, to the Hot Wheels Redline color Referred to as Antifreeze

Also I believe the Pontiac & The Torino to be the Hardest to find castings from this maker

My question was between the 2 greens the Pontiac was painted, ("spectraflame" or lite metalic), which of the 2 shades of green is the rarest?

Thanks for your input though

And finally, here's a pic of mine.
This color may actually be the rarer of the two greens,
but it's not actually clear which green is rarer in the Hemming article.

Paint not too bad, but missing some bits!
