R/Car's Indy IROC Series

Rules Package:
-Any straight axle/pan car chassis
-Any Novak 13.5 Havoc System(1s,2s,3s,or Pro) or the Novak XBR w/ the 13.5 SS or EX(both silver can) brushless motor
-World GT tires(BSR or TM)
-Any 1 cell Lipo 40c max/5000max with Roar approved seal will be legal.
-HPI Trans Am body with issued paint & decaled by R/CAR

*Bodies(HPI Part#7447 200mm Trans Am) can be purchased from Pennington's or elsewhere.
Must be painted with approved class paint...then returned to the track for decals and inspection.

-2 spurs will be allowed...85T & 86T
-3 pinions will be allowed...47T,51T,& 54T
(This should help us keep the roll out in the 4.15 range which works best for 13.5 here at R/Car's Big Rug)

Anyone caught cheating/breaking the established rules will be removed from the series and barred from racing at R/Car for the remainder of this season.
This includes the racer & the car owner...so be careful if you let someone else run your car.

We will tech the top3 finishers of each points race...so dont get caught cheating or your season will be done at R/Car.

*Rulings are final and are at the race directors discretion

The points will be based off both the driver & car owner(#) in separate points chases. Both points chases will be scored as indicated below...except the tie breaker. The tie breaker for driver is outlined below with TQ's playing a big part.
The Car Owner points tie-breaker will be settled in a 60 lap shoot out involving the teams (if any)tied at seasons end.

Points will be rewarded in 10pt increments starting with the last place finisher getting 10pts and moving up from there.
Winning the A main on a night that has 16 cars will score better than winning a night that has 8 racers...because of the climbing point accumulation of 10pts per entry.

TQ's will count as the tie breaker at the seasons end and will not merit points on a weekly basis. If the # of TQ's does not break the tie...the racers involved will run a 50 lap shoot out race for the championship.

Series races will run every Tuesday & Saturday starting Dec.19,2009 & will end June19,2010.
The drivers top 20 point races will accumulate his points total toward the championship..

1.Gregg Grahn/Outlaw Black #11

I know the series is for driver points only.
But what ya think about a owner points
also?
If so I'll take care of the prizes for the owner points
1-3 for sure but maybe more depends on prizes.
Same points scale as driver points
but
owner points will get the prizes.
If the track can keep points as well
I'll take care of prizes.
If anyone would like to donate to the owner points
contact me at
[email protected]

Kevin I'll talk to you about it Saturday to finalize with you and
the track.
This isn't set in stone yet we have details to work out
with the track.
This is only for the owners who can't run fo points but
their ca can.

Thanks
Bad Dogz

It is something we can work with Jayson...we'll iron it out Saturday and I'll post what we decide here on the new thread.

A lot of guys will not be able to run 20 races...so it makes since to have both a Drivers Championship & a Owners Championship.

this might work for a racer. that maybe, has speedo issues or, any other mechanical issues that couldn't run, thats in points chase, could jump into another ride too retain his points. providing car with no driver. would be kinda cool to see what car owner prevailed at end of series!

The Thunder Power is on back order for who knows how long.

We might just open the battery rule to any 1cell 40c(or lower).

I will post something tomorrow after I talk will Bill and make some calls.
