FYI - Just so you know, people are not always who say they are when on the internet. If you don't have a valid way of checking up on a particular person posting or emailing you, you can get burned.Since you mentioned you did not know for a long time about free space to put your website on the internet, I don't know if you already know about people pretending to be someone they are not, and various schemes for stealing personal and business information from innocent people who go online.

Hey, I found out the Chilli Pepers weren't really the real Chillies, but just a kid trying to get famous. So I gave him some discipline and told him he could get sued for what he's doing, possibly ending up in jail.

I didn't report him, but told him to do 3 things for me.

#1. Clean up your act and be honest.
#2. Close down his current site.
#3. Make a site based on who he REALLY is and what he REALLY likes.

I told him that if he did, then I would add him onto the MH page as he truely is. Then he could get famous. If not, then I'd personally get word to the real Chillies as to what he's doing and then he'd be infamous...in jail...kissing Bubba.

I think it's fair because maybe he's a lonely kid that wants to be famous. And truely, I don't want a MH customer to go to jail. Just hope that when he opens his E-mail, he'll wize up and clean up.

My sister showed me how to spot a fraud. The real chillies site is

Notice the word "Rock" before the words Redhotchillipeppers.

Also, look at the ammount of friends he has compaired to how many the real Chillies have.

The final blow was the venues the chillies are playing. The real Chillies are doing tons of concerts a month in Australlia. The fake Chillies are playing one show at the Turkey Lurkey pub.

Although, when I talked to this guy yesterday, he didn't have venues listed, so it was hard to tell who was who for sure.

So I have to thank my sister for letting me know what to look out for.

Could have been worse. Could have given him my CC #. Least I'm not that dumb!

FOR NOW - THIS particular Forum is for Model kit related discussions.
Those discussion topics should revolve around model building, model collecting, model painting, model kit manufacturer news etc......
If topics are not somehow modeling related I will close or delete them!

Let us try to stay somewhere close to Modeling related topics. then I won't have to keep playing policeman!

Oh, sorry guys, I wasn't intending to "Walk off the beaten path" with this thread.

Just wanted to talk a little with my buddies, show them my web site, which IS model kit related, and then to let them know about some of the silliness with "Fakes" I encountered and to be aware that the net can be dangerous, as I'm sure some of them know.

But you guys are right, we shuld talk hobbies and show our builds.

So, without further ado, let's talk about models and let this thread sink slowly to page two, then three, then four and then ????
