I'm a Mustang guy, but still......yeah, I could see myself in that.

Even though I was around, though young, when these cars were built, it is still impossible to believe that much car could be had for $4,555.00.

Great pics Cajun!

My first thought when I looked at the engine bay is that somebody restored the heck out of this car - maybe over-restored? But if that car is in mostly original condition, the thing is a time capsule... I saw one of these winged warriors fueling up at a rural gas station years ago in my teens, a yellow one. Either a Roadrunner or a Daytona, there's no missing them, they have road presence for sure.

Nice looking car!

At 25 you still have alot to see in life

Over restored...nope...look at the exhaust manifold,it has rust. If it were over restored,it would have high heat paint or ceramic coating to keep it from rusting.

It also has a modern battery instead of the old tar top type. :)

With only 503 made, Daytona sightings were somewhat rare, even back in the day. There were two of them bought new by locals here, and about a half-dozen are still in the area.

By comparison, Superbird production was just over 1900 cars. This one is my favorite color combination of them all.

It's always cool to see Winged Warriors and that is a beaut!

I had a funny Superbird siting not long ago, I was pulling out of a Wal-Mart lot just as a freakin' orange Superbird was pulling in. Needless to say, I thought it was cool but also strange but then I remembered I was in Concord NC and there was a car show the next day at Charlotte Motorspeedway and it suddenly didn't look so out of place lol.

Actually, there were NOT 503 made. It ended considerably less than that.

A paper trail exists to support the 500 car production figure. It includes a factory ship list containing all of the VIN numbers, along with the original dealership that each car was shipped to.

Can you support your claim about a lower production number?
I will have to ask him, but my father belongs to the Daytona and Superbird club. There was an article stating that Creative Industries counted some of the cars twice as they went around. Is there a website showing the paper trail?
