This one is a Plymouth Superbird, not a Dodge Daytona..... never seen a daytona before....
Actually, there were NOT 503 made. It ended considerably less than that. With only 503 made, Daytonas sightings were somewhat rare, even back in the day. There were two of them bought new by locals here, and about a half-dozen are still in the area.
By comparison, Superbird production was just over 1900 cars. This one is my favorite color combination of them all.
A paper trail exists to support the 500 car production figure. It includes a factory ship list containing all of the VIN numbers, along with the original dealership that each car was shipped to.Actually, there were NOT 503 made. It ended considerably less than that.
I will have to ask him, but my father belongs to the Daytona and Superbird club. There was an article stating that Creative Industries counted some of the cars twice as they went around. Is there a website showing the paper trail?A paper trail exists to support the 500 car production figure. Can you support your claim about a lower production number?

Self regulation, don't ya love it?There was an article stating that Creative Industries counted some of the cars twice as they went around.
indeed, had the magazine article been factual. in this instance, however, it was more an example of artistic license, be it from the story teller or the author of the article.Self regulation, don't ya love it?
