I should have picked up some extras of this one

I had extras and sold all for $30 +. they do have a strong aftermarket.

The distribution was really bad when those were out. I had a really hard time finding Posey"s Challenger. Never did find the Javelin or Pettys 70 Road Runner

The distribution may have been bad, but it seems way premature to see selling prices like that. I figure the market is still hot from people who want one bad and didn't find it the first time around. But will cool off eventually.

me too on the Sam Posey Challenger.. ended up getting a Greenlight one from the set... a liitle more detailed, but it's missing the big front spoiler, which it did really have

Didnt pursue the Petty Roadrunner, but it sucked that 2 of the cars I collect, Challengers and 70 Roadrunners,... were both in that release

so sad when people bend over to get one because they just have to have it right now.that is the main reason scalpers do what they do.i understand if you live in the boonies and have no choice but if you let their auctions just die the prices will go down.have self control.

Self control goes a long way. If only people had that kind collective self regulation, the price of gas would never spike. The price goes up not because it's scarce, but because people go crazy.

i think it has to do with the scum speculators.i belive if we shoot and hang a couple the gas price will stablelize:thumbsup:

If everyone would just start walking or ride a bicycle the Gas Prices would drop big time as Gas is only good for 6 months till it turns .... The fuel corps know the world isn't just going to stop moving cause the fuel prices are high, so the fuel corps have the upper hand in getting the most for what we live by.... They are in control of our pocket books when we want to go on a vacation thats for sure..... Last time I filled up at the pump it was $4.53 gal

Gas is just now edging a few cents below $4 per gallon here. Everything costs more down here in the stinking islands.

A reasonable offer would be $4.99.

$4.17 here. And that's at the very cheapest station. My poor old Fury doesn't get much at any one time right now.

I have to wonder if it's more price fixing than collectors who just need to have it NOW. I don't know about you guys, but I've never met a collector who was so impatient they would pay outrageous prices to have it immediately.

That series never showed around where I live. I too would like to have the Javelin and the RR as I collect both of those castings. I will eventually find them. Hopefully at the 99 cent store.

The only place I ever found those releases was the local grocer...and I only picked up that AMX and a few others. Left all the Pettys behind.

I got a few of the Vintage Racing cars, as overpriced as they were. But the Javelin has never shown up locally. The Yunick Chevelle is another.
