I finished up two Atlantis scifi kits today, my first builds which I started after my return from Wonderfest. They were the re-released 1960s Revell Flash Gordon and the Earth vs. the Flying Saucers kits. I used the Thunderboy resin base for Flash Gordon I got from Steve at WF and I used Cult's Monsters of the Movies base with the Saucer kit. They are pretty good kits and the saucer is very simple, the resin base is far more work than the saucer.

Nicely done Bob. I picked up both those bases at Wonderfest. They make a world of difference in displaying the models especially the Saucer.

They really do and are almost a requirement for both kits. And as you said, the saucer in particular really needed something and this certainly did the trick. All it was in the kit was the saucer with two possible build configurations.
