I was trying to use the radio with a crystal receiver,(doesn't work)IT DOES need to be a synthesized reciever too! I put the reciever in and it works great. thanks to swtour and KenBajdek for thinking about the synth.

Just a guess but something to look for...

make sure the harness from the receiver to the esc is not plugged in incorrectly (On the ESC side)

I've seen a few get plugged into the wrong place, and a few get plugged in backward.

If you can borrow one, I'd try it w/ a synth. receiver

Is the rec. x'tal you have FM?

What type of rec. is it?

(I've only used PCM or SPEKTRUM for so long...don't remember the other stuff)

I think the problem is the reciever. From what I understand is the MX-3S is a synthisized FM 75MHZ (channels 61 to 90) system and needs the same non crystal receiver that is adjustable to your radio. Not too many FM radios out there anymore with 2.4ghz technology.

Thanks guys! I put synth. reciever in and it works great! I didn't realize it wouldn't work with crystals.
