This piece that comes in red color - 1981 Hot Wheels Scene Machines (Card #3304) appears to be difficult to come by, even if it does it's pricey. Been looking for this piece for the last 3-years.

This piece is the same as the grey color one released earlier in 1979, also under Scene Machines but is named "Rescue Machine" instead of Space Vehicle, not sure why, is there an error on the card or for some other reasons? Need some advice from the gurus here. Thanks.

The vehicles are basically the same, its the scene inside thats different. I have all of the scene machines except the circus cats van, that one is the most expensive one.

I am not sure what your question is OP.. are you wondering why the same vehicle is called different names? That is just because Mattel felt like changing the name. They have done in many times in the past, still do it today, and will do it in the future. It could be worse, Matchbox seemed to change the name of some vehicles with every repaint back in the '80s
