I've been checking these babies out on the pegs at KMart for a while now and there didn't seem to be many bites from the punters.

They were reduced from AU$6.99 to AU$5.00 so I bought a couple.

That's Kimi Raikkonen in car No.1 with the black helmet and Felipe Massa in the No.2 rocket with the yellow skid lid.

I also grabbed one of about 10 Johnny Lightning Indy cars that was gathering dust on the shelves of my local Toys R Us on the same day.

After a few experiments with the missus' camera I discovered that taking a close-up photo on my black fold-up card table on the balcony just before sunset scrubs up pretty well.
