Just an FYI for the OP, for this to be a true #271, and of value, it MUST be on the card. That where the money is, in the cardboard.
Otherwise, it is no different than #277 which came out a bit later. Plus, this casting was used in several playsets and used in other releases.
Also, yours has 5 spoke wheels which was a variation on #277 along with the black walls that were on #271.
Maybe worth $2 due to the condition it's in.

First off, I’m not a collector, found this Hot Wheels car in an old collection I bought years ago, any thoughts?
Welcome to Hobbytalk! Unfortunately, the carded #271 version is the only one that carries the higher value and collector desireablity. But, what other castings did you get in the old collection. Some of them will have some greater values even if loose. The carded ones and the harder to find variations even more. 🤙
