Hi everyone, that time of year for our new thread.

New for this year is an entry level class(Legends) for new racers only, many of the veterans will have prepared cars ready for kids to race, see a committee member if you know someone who is interested in driving one of these cars, you can also race your own car. Also be sure to check out our sponsors, they are what make this series what it is! Just remember the almost endless door prizes and raffles at the previous banquets. A big thank you to all who continue to support this series with items for door prizes, money and their time to do what is necessary to pull this all off.

Though all facilities will try to provide adequate space for all racers please plan ahead and have a table/chair with you, they may be needed. Also please abide by pit sizes allotted, traction compound limitations, and LIPO fire prevention bag requirements at the different facilities.

There is a one time $10 fee per class, good for the entire season and then just pay whatever the host track entry fees are.

Sorry, 1 more Legend's question:
The Natl. rules state,"If it doesn't say you can do it - you can't!" It seems everyone adds weight, I couldn't find anywhere that say's it's OK and didn't see a max. weight rule?

The SMC 4000 battery is the only legal battery and yes the gear is limited to 81T spur and choice of either 21T or 22T pinion(48 pitch). There is no rule on the weight. The only deviation from the national rules is that the front wire steering linkage can be replaced with tie rods.
Should be a fun class and looking forward to seeing some new faces in this class. Remember that several of us have legend cars built and ready to run for anyone new that wants to run this class-they just have to come and race and pay the track entry fee.

To signup for a class in the tour it is $10 per class. None transferable.

It will be $10 one time per class due to HCOT and whatever John charges for track fees at the race. Not to sure what that will be but I would plan on between $10-$15 for first class and usually $5 for additional classes. I can verify this and post in the race announcement post in a few days.

As for gearing I really don't have any exact info, plus I do not run Thunder power motors. Maybe 3.6 plus/minus in open and 4.2 plus/minus in truck... But this can vary depending on your setup, motor timing and esc timings(in open)

If you are running Sportsman Truck, Late Model or are a new racer in Legend you will need to see Rick L or my self to have a seal placed on your Spec batteries, they must be out of the car.

Some important points to remember about the rules in the spec classes, Sportsman Truck uses World GT tires, Late Model or Legends class can use any Spec tire with stripe in the foam. Both Late Model and Truck can use the Mamba ESCs with software v1.26 and Tekin ESCs with software v2.23 and be in spec blinky mode.

Got a question for the boys on here. I have been looking at world gt tires and have noticed that crc sells tires that look identical to bsr's, but the stripe is blue instead of purple.

Would these tires be considered legal?
