I'm blocked from e-bay here at work but please don't tell me this is that LFest Camaro with the red and blue rims. Please tell me it isn't.

I can't tell you how I felt when I heard there was one on e-bay that looked like a non-China item and in fact an RC2 employee and now if they are bidding on their own item I just can't put into words how I feel about it.

If it is the same one I've been made awre of, they also have PSR and Rocket 500 sets. Boy do I feel just great about this. What a happy day.

saw Item#200026636893:

"You are looking at a 1/64 Mustang Fastback 2+2 test shot by Johnny Lightning. I traded a lot of Street Freaks cases for this and feel it was definitely worth it's weight in gold."

Umm, okay..... you traded hard to get it, you say it was worth it...... and now you're selling it ????

Mark, that is the one, and I believe it may be a fake, but I won't say why I think it is because it may lead to more fakes by giving away a clue on how to make one, and I may be wrong.

I had been talking to this seller via email before he listed the JF Camaro and he was going to sell the Camaro to me for $75. He also let me know that he also has another red test shot (similar to below, but with white rims) that he would sell for $50, or both for $120. I guess now that he's seen what they'll sell for on the bay, he probably won't sell them outright.

Since I'm really only interested in JL Broncos, I didn't take him up on his offers.

So wait a minute, this is an RC2 employee bidding on his own things???? I thought something seemed fishy with that Kevster guys auctions when ol' jones kept bidding on everything he had. I'm reporting this @$$hole to ebay, maybe multiple reports will get him canned quicker

I wouldn't think it's the same guy, but I could be wrong. Their selling styles are totally different.

Why not? Lets expose the person. He obviously has no problem with benefiting off of RC2 , 'Fest, his or others employee status etc. He has the card with it, the same one all of our cars came with so it was obviously done in Oak Brook and not China because I know Z made those insert cards.

Yes, he/she has access to rims and tires, they/IT poked out the original rims which is very hard to do creating the axles to often bend which by coincidence is noted on the sale of this car being a poor roller, and then inserted these new test rims. That's just great. Go for it, bid often!

Fine! I mean after the e-mails I've gotten lately from Rc2 what did I expect really. Obviously inside job, no doubt about it. I throw my hands up. I don't know what to say.

I don't doubt the authenticity of the cars (look real to me?). I'm more concerned about this dude jacking up the prices of his (or his buddies) auctions. Especially since it's mainly HT members bidding on these cars.

I'm not necessarily trying to say its the same guy, but it doesnt have to be with shill bidding, as I'm sure you know. It seems funny to me that their picture taking styles are similar and they both have rare JL items and one is bidding for the others, just not making sense to me. Its most likely two buddies, but thats still no excuse. I have reported them to ebay's safe harbor for shill bidding and would encourage others to do the same. If we are wrong, I'll be the first to publicly appologize.

Wyatt, I completely agree with Mark, out the person, they dseserve it. Even though Mark already made it clear that the original wheels had been removed, as mentioned by the bent axles (Ive had this happen countless times while customizing) ANyone could use a marker and write TZ on the bottom of a car

Couldnt agree more, I had been bidding on one or two of those cars, won't be anymore
