I dont think RC/Ertl have ever supported any hobby message boards?

now that cant be right. how could a multi million or is it billion?,dollar company not have an interest and a BB that they wouldnt support?,,,,,,,,,that just wouldnt make sense or does it?

JL didn't always support this board either. Actually I dont think they have in years.

I agree with you on this subject. All one has to do is look at the brand H site, and the traffic it generates, to see how beneficial it would be for RC2/ERTL to have some interest in how we, the consumer/ collector/ fan, feel about the product that they want us to purchase.

Eh, I kind of like this place the way it is. Dont need any "HW Amy's" around here. Keep it independent.

well really there getting all of this info for free. why would thay pay for something there getting free. we all post what we would like to see made.and when we have a probblem with a purchase most post it here.
i for one would not like this site to become what brand h site has become. try and post a negtive post over there and see where it gets you. :wave:
hobby talk is the best site going with out them getting involved and you must admitt we get away with alot freedom of speach here :devil:

Why should RC/Ertl Support or pay anything to hear or see your feelings on anything? For that matter, Pm's even got the feedback for nothing- so whats the benefit, you/us will always offer our opinions for free -

For the most part perhaps, but not always.
I can't complain though...

I like the present sponsor.... There are freedoms present here that would not be available under the control of the company which produces the diecasts. And level restraints to keep things from getting too out of hand. A balance I admire here, and at Lightning Lane, and a few others.

I laugh out loud at the posts over at the HWcom board. What you do there, you do under the watchful eye of vigilant big shots and big shot wannabe's who strive to keep the company's spotless integrity intact. Never say anything bad about the product, or the supplier, or the retailer.... even if it's the undisputed truth. It won't stay there, nor will you....

No argument from me on this, midtown. I have no love loss for their site, having been one of those that got thrown out for having an opinion and then making the "mistake" of voicing it. (Must have been a really heavy flow day for Fieldmarshall Amy or something.) I do like it here on HT like it is, I was trying to say that it might behoove them to keep an ear to the ground here, AND since they will be making $$$ off of us, they could surely kick some back to help this GREAT site keep running smoothly, that's all.

I'd wait to see what RC does with JL. Next thing you know WL's are 10-20% of production(like Th's). Then would we still be collecting whites?

Don't take this wrong, but I agree with the posts being deleted. One of the fine gals from PM was taking the time to wish us a fairwell. And we turned the thread around to bash Tom Lowe. Not that some of them mind that, but lets use another thread to do that. How about this one?

And as far as RC2 being affiliated with this BB, I say "NO!" We do not need them to muscle us around. I agree with you guys about HWAmy, who needs her or the John Deere version of her!

if RC2 does monitor this and other sites, then they should take heed of the fact that if the quality should start heading south like it did with another of their infamous "buyouts" (i'm referring to the Thomas die cast line that they acquired and butchered and now you can only get them from the UK and have to pay the excruciatingly high currency rate of the british pound for a substandard toy train), my money will be better spent elsewhere
