This month's (June '07) issue of Car and Driver has a neat article on Chaparral racing cars. Apparently Jim Hall is building some replicas of the 2E and selling them for around $400,000. Article includes a bunch of pics of the replica, which looks for all the world like the original to me right down to the Cox sponsor decal, some history of the car, and a few pics of other Chappys. The magazine says that this car is virtually an exact replica and drives just like the vintage ones. The number that got me was 0 to 60 in 2.9--yeeeesh!
Probably worth picking up for Chaparral aficionados. Also might be worth checking caranddriver.com to see if they have any additional info not in the print version, it seems they've started to do that to encourage people to visit the site. I'm heading over there now...
