I think its great hes trying but i just dont understand why he would choose these big tracks. Why not somewhere like richmond where its less about motor and more about driver and setup?

Maybe because Daytona and Talledega are run wide open and it doesn't take much to them compared other tracks. That's why racers like Derrick Cope try to qualify for them also. If he sits around in the back of the field wait for a wreck and finishes a few positions farther up then last he can collect a bigger paycheck than all the short track money one could win all year. I'd do it if I could.
