hi all 1st post and new to the forum.
i havea 6.5 h.p. that i have removed the govner, it vibrates more now then with govner at normal rpms, i dont think i moved the cam gear but i dont know as there is no clear mark on the crank. my ? is will these engines run if the gear is one tooth off, and is it normal to get more vibration without the govner in. l ill kick back now and hope the experts are on tonight

Most engines will run if they are only 1 tooth off on their valve timing. The vibration may be coming from the engine if it's being run way faster then it maximum rated top speed. If the valve timing is off, it could be making the engine run rough and that may add to any vibration.

thanks for the reply ill move it one tooh tomorow and hope for the best, i made sure to keep the rpms low when deciding that it vibrates more then it did, i just wasnt sure if removing the govner would add more vibration
