Hello all!
I've recently got into lighting my models, and have begun to use Fibre optics as well as led's.....

......my question is, do you paint your model before cutting your optic strands flush? What's the best tool for cutting the optics close to the surface of the model? Any info would be grand!

Thanks guys!

Cut them after you paint. If you cut them before you will cover them up and you won't get any light coming out.

I'm sure someone will recommend a fancy tool or two, but I always use a brand new pair of finger nail clippers. Always got a nice clean cut. And they will last a lifetime if you only use it for your fiber optics.
