I loved my mom and would rate her very highly, although she nagged too much. However, I don't think she ever really respected my modeling hobbies, plastic, rockets, planes, etc. She always seemed to think it was kind of useless. She didn't mind that I did, just didn't think it would ever amount to much. In the end though I really went into space and rocketry as a career and my modeling activities were a big part of why I selected that for a career. So happy mothers day to all the moms out there, whether we always agreed or not you were great mothers.

"Really went into space" physicaly or fantasy of the mind?

My career was with NASA and I worked the shuttle program from start to the end. However I did not literally go into space myself as much as I might have liked to. I certainly met a lot of the guys and gals who did though over those 32+ years.

Well, I suppose you could say a very big part of you did go into space. Bet it was a sweet ride with a bitter end!

I envy you....very much.
