To commemorate two big anniversaries this year, GreenLight is releasing a special six car set. Three of the cars are Mustang models in honor of the Mustang 50th. Three of the cars are Dodge models in honor of the Dodge 100th. Samples are here and they look great. The Mustangs are all done in a Wimbledon White throwback paint scheme. The Dodge models are all done in the new exclusive color for the Dodge 100th commemorative models, High Octane Red Pearl. Here's a photo of the set attached and also a link to where you can see more photos of each one.

These will be available at Meijer, Toys R Us, online and hobby accounts.

Thanks,

Matt

Uh, maybe it's just a technicality, but Ford never made a 1964 Mustang. What Ford/Mustang guys call a "1964 1/2 Mustang" was never marketed as anything but a 1965 model by Ford. 2014 is, however, the anniversary of the first "Pony Car", the 1964 Barracuda, which, incidentally, beat the Mustang to market by several weeks. And the car that Lee Iacocca credits as his inspiration for the Mustang (the Corvair Monza) had been around for 4 years by that time.

A couple more cars that are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year are the Chevelle and the Pointiac GTO - both worthy of recognition on this, their TRUE 50th anniversary! Regardless, the 6 cars you show look good to me - I'll be looking for the Dodges. Mustangs just don't do it for me. Don't worry, there are plenty of Mustang fans out there... You'll sell every one you can make!

(OH, and it's the Corvette's 60th anniversary as well, but that's a subject for another time... :D)
