I came home late last night and there was a big package that I just knew was the Bud Box, and was it ever!

Got a chance to open and look briefly last night, and a closer look this evening, and boy is this a special one. I'll probably post again on this thread later about the box, and I have to decide what to pull from it and what to add back, but I just wanted to let everyone involved know that the next step of the journey is underway.

Thanks Ward for sending it, and look out Joe, it will be on the road again soon. Thanks, Rich, for getting this one started, and a very special thanks and rememberence to Bud Burleson, whose spirit lives on in our Hobby Talk community.

UPDATE:

The box is back on the road, winging its way to Joe down in San Antone. I pulled a couple of cars that I did not have in my collection, along with a couple that were begging to stay and get opened right away. It was easy to replace them with cars from my collection, but hard to decide on which ones to take out of the box. Thanks for letting me play!

I made a list of what was originally in the box when it first hit the road, it'll be interesting to see what comes back and if any of the original cars are still in there? I tried to pick a very interesting mix of cars, so we'll see.

Joe, did the box hit Texas yet?

rlyoung: Rick, I have a new address for Mudslinger, I'll PM you once it's on it's way to you.

Bud Box II is ready to go, just waiting a bit until BB I is almost home.

On a side note. Did anyone notice that the last actual Bud Box that circulated here and eventually made its way back to Bud is now up for auction on the bay. I am happy that it is being put to good use.

I checked their listings and didn't see it. I'd love to keep that little piece of HT history. The last actual Bud Box was the loose 94 car set, I believe?
