Gibbs is one of the 5 companies known to have made the construction vehicle castings that originated with Mercury of Italy and subsequently by Mercury of Canada. Mercury Industries (USA) offered them as Lit'l Toy products and finally Universal made them for Dinky as part of their Mini-Dinky series of castings. Gibbs produced their castings in the 1970s. The Gibbs company still exists as an automotive diecasting parts manufacturer, but did not produce any more diecast vehicles.
