i run elc cars but been thinking about custom building a gas power rc just b/c i work at a shop so i have acc to mills and thing like that. but i have not clue how the gas power motors work. is it a spark plug gas take and a pull start or something to that?

thought about trying to build a few custom parts to get more power with out paying an arm and leg you know.

working on a 1/18 scale chassis to hold a 1/10 scale motor. no rc drag ways down here but, it will be funny to out run a few 1/1 scale cars.

The rc motors run on nitro. They dont have a spark plug, they have a glow plug. Some are pull start, some are elec start and some have whats called a roto start. Some are started by using a starter box. Just depends.

If you were going to do it to outrun 1/1 cars, i would not go with an 1/18th scale. Too small. Makes it handle worse. lol I would at least go 1/10 scale.

no im looking at strating a rc shop and need to know how to rebuild them and all.
