After years of fighting fires and I don't to this day know how the brothers did it with the smaller rigs, rubber coats, and thigh high boots, no air packs or ones that were not as good as they are today. If you take a Seagrave that old and put it next to a modern rig it looks so puny. My father was a volunteer with the first department I fought fires with and even though he thinks I am a hero for fighting fires in today's world to me guys like him are more of a hero and the bravest than we are today. If that makes any sense. Sorry just rambling.
