Can't tell for sure, but it looks like the A pillars are missing on the Ford?
Not sure how accurate the headlight area is, but it's still really cool.
Both are way cool!!!
I just checked ebay and it looks like its not supposed to have the pillars. I noticed all that were listed have the white steering wheel. This one is black, wonder if its a rare variation?
Hmm, very interesting on both counts. Actually quite strange on the first. Never seen no pillars where the 1:1 has them, ever. Bizzare even.
I suggest posing the steering wheel question to Mick. SMS88 is his name here on HT and is a moderator on http://vintage-british-diecasts.lefora.com/
. Mick or someone else on VBD will probably know.

In my Dinky book written by Mike Richardson in 2001 puts its value at $45-$60, but only shows a pic with the white steering wheel and makes no mention of any variation of this casting or many others.
Dinky seems like a poor mans Corgi in a way. The book illustrates all(?) the castings and about 50% seem to be of dubious proportions, but both seem to be equally prolific. 1/43 Lesney and Corgi castings look much better over-all, but all three seem to have trouble representing American subject matter, Lesney less so.
