After the recent dirt track threads I decided my Escort needed tires meant for dirt racing if I was ever going to win a trophy.

Here's what it looks like compared to a stock model. The airfoil on the red one looks like it's on backwards but it's not:

I've got several pix of rally cars for reference and know this would look better w/ some artwork on the sides,
but don't have a printer to make decals and even trying to paint numbers on the door would push my artistic skills.

With some new wheels on my Sol-Aire CX4 I'm ready to race on asphalt too:

Thanks. I really like the lines of the Sol-Aire and am trying to use it as a starting point on a custom body for my laser powered car.

Those wheels are front wheels from a Jada funnycar. I've been holding onto them waiting for something they would fit.

I always use rattlecan paint, that's Rust-Oleum red. It usually gives good coverage and has nice color.

If you knew how many times I put it back into the stripper you might not say that, I've been trying to finish it for the past 3-4 days. It's been white, orange, yellow, red w/ a white front and all those colors at once faded from front to back. I even tried flat black w/ clearcoat over it, which I usually like, but didn't like the way it looked on this car so back it went again. I didn't let it get the best of me though.
