I bought a flywheel puller to get the flywheel off of my tecumseh engine (6.5 hp). I tried it but the tap bolt came out before the damn flywheel would come off. Any Suggestions on how to remove the thing?

tecumseh flywheels can be a real pain if the self tapping bolt comes out it may need
to be inseted farther into the hole i have two of them and the tops are mushroomed
because once there is enough pressure it cant be turned without major force i give it
a good blow with a hammer or theres a tool called a knocker but it can really mess
up the threads good luck

I finally got it. I used a block of wood and a rubber mallet so I didnt damage the flywheel. I missed and hit the flywheel once and now there is a dent in it. I hope this is ok. It did not crack just dented the side of the flywheel.

Should I get another flywheel or just use the dented one?
