Bummer that you got taken thinking you bought a 1995 Treasure Hunt for $1.00 but the price should of told ya something was wrong with that Car.

This is the STD price for the 1995 TH

The chrome one should have redlines on it if it was from that set... did someone drill out the base and swap wheels??
according to Tomarts... there were 2 Service Merchandise chrome T-birds...

the first was in 1994... it had basic wheels (not redlines) and had a red interior... the second was in 1995... it had blue tinted windows and didn't mention the wheel type, so assume it was those lace wheels
Both came from 16 car sets... both probably not valued at more than 10 bucks or less, loose

I don't see how it could be a packaging error, when this wheel style didn't come out until the next year after the Treasure Hunt '57 debuted.. it is too easy to repackage Hot Wheels and make it look real. My parents were duped a couple times at toy shows, buying customs they thought were color schemes they hadn't seen before.

OP - how does the rivets look on the car?
