I've been repairing some broken halloween statues that didn't survive storage and moving all that well. Unlike older satues that were ceramic/porcelain. it seems that most newer stuff is a type of resin.

Unlike ceramic/porcelain that need special glues and sealer to deal with porosity
at the break, standard CA works like a charm. I don't know is this is exactly like the resin used in model parts but it acts like it.

So if one of these things comes across your desk don't be afraid to tear into it.
You might even be able to touch up the paint a bit :)
