It was the Revell '39 Chevy Lowrider, but I built it as a street rod, using some parts from a Revell '70 Chevelle kit. Two tone paint using Testors gloss black on the fenders, and Dupli Color Chrysler metallic charcoal gray on the body. Fenders came out pretty decent paint wise. I didn't realize, or even have time to put a clear coat on the gray. It's not orange peeled, but it's not exactly smooth either. I entered this in the Cape model show this past weekend, and talking with a judge after it ended, that's what kept me from winning anything. I didn't expect to win anyway, being my first try, but it was fun and I had a good time. The judge was friendly and gave me some pointers as well.
I did buy a few rat rod /hot rod kits, and can't wait to get started on them.
